Massage is a pleasant start or continuation of a romantic evening, which helps to relax and tune in to the right mood. Also, massage can be a way to get to know your body better and take care of yourself. And various specialized oils will help in this. The market now offers many options for massage oils from “classic” liquid forms to exciting and intriguing massage candles.

There are many massage oils and candles in the Dona brand collection. Personally, I was accompanied by a Strawberry Soufflé scented candle. Also, the oil of this candle is completely edible! Please note that not all Dona massage candles are edible, it is easy to find out about it thanks to the mark – “Kissable”. (Editor's note – This is only true for Dona candles) This is vegan oil, not tested on animals, and no animal products were used in the production.

If you want to try this massage candle, you’d rather free the evening and get ready to wait a little, since it can take 25 minutes or more from lighting the wick to the moment when a sufficient amount of oil for massage has melted. It depends on how much product you want to use. Therefore, you won’t be able to start the massage immediately. You can light a candle in advance, for example, during a bath or a romantic dinner, it will create a relaxing atmosphere and fill the space with a pleasant aroma.

It is convenient to pour the oil onto the body or draw the required amount with your fingers. After the wick is extinguished, there is enough time to use the oil, it does not solidify immediately. Therefore, if necessary, it can be added more without re-lighting the candle. This is a great time saver and helps to keep the mood.

The oil is slightly greasy, it will take a long time to fully absorb into the skin, but this particular feature makes it suitable for a long massage. In addition, the consumption of the product will be very economical: 135 grams of a candle is enough for a dozens of uses. Massage candles also have a huge plus because of the product’s mild temperature. This makes the oil very pleasant to apply to the skin, so I recommend adding more massage candles to your shopping list for long winter evenings.

The taste of the oil is not at all “strawberry soufflé”, it’s rather like “vanilla ice cream” with hints of chocolate. Pleasant and not sugary, without a greasy aftertaste. It is not necessary to wash it off: after the oil has been absorbed, the skin is soft and not greasy, moreover, it retains a light dessert aroma.

For myself, I noted the Dona candle as a pleasant option for getting acquainted with massage candles.
