“A good massage oil and a good base lubricant — these are two things that have a place on my bedside table. Everything else – flavored lubricants, foams, drops, candles and other fluids are used on the occasion, in the mood and simply optional”, – Arina Vintovkina.

Russian version

Since the previous summer I have been using a bottle of water pjur MED as a “base lubricant” (for those who regularly watch my reviews, this green-and-white label definitely is familiar). And then I suddenly realized that I became so close to it, it is so “default” with me that, in my opinion, I never really talked about it.

I decided to correct this annoying misunderstanding and test the entire MED line (4 lubricants and a prolonger).

What all lubricants have in common is that they are all:
– very neutral in smell;
– they slide awesomely and for a very long time, therefore, the consumption is small (silicone ones generally slide like this for about an eternity, but, alas, they cannot be used together with silicone toys; with them – I remind you! – you must use only water-based lubricants);
– thick, but does not leave a sticky feeling;
– compatible with condoms;
– moisturize the;
– on the ratio “price/quality/amount” – no questions at all.

And let's just agree right away: I'm not a chemist. Therefore, I will not be able to adequately answer the questions of the format: “Well, what do you say about tetrohydrocarbonate in the composition?” I do not understand anything here. Here I believe the official information from the manufacturer, who definitely values its reputation: the pjur brand (it is German) has been on the market for 25 years. And my personal impressions as a user are based on the organoleptic properties of the product and how well it meets the task (and the task of the lubricant is to provide a comfortable glide and not to irritate).

Personally, I have never experienced any allergic reactions or other side effects to these lubricants. But I'll make a reservation right away: this does NOT mean that none of you will. Individual intolerance, which can be found on absolutely any of the components in the composition, you cannot ignore. Finding the perfect base lubricant is like finding the perfect match. Through trial and error, you end up finding the one.

Here is the pjur MED Repair glide – my “Chosen One”.

A drop of official information: all pjur products undergo medical control in Germany and have the status of a medical product. Pjur has an impressive range of lubricants, but it is MED series that I particularly like. It is relatively new and is positioned as a premium-class natural ingredients in the composition. The products are suitable for constant use to maintain intimate health. Also for the record: the pjur MED series received the highest rating from the German consumer protection organization OKO-Test.

All 4 lubricants of the pjur MED series also received the highest score from the commission represented by A. Vintovkina. I admired them so much that I decided to additionally ask my fellow sex bloggers what their impressions were (well, suddenly my eyes got blurry and partiality appeared). Colleagues saluted: “Yes, awesome!”

We briefly deal with each

Repair Glide and Natural Glide are classic water-based lubricants.

I got hooked on the first one. It has hyaluronic acid in its composition and, in fact, I sometimes use it as a healing cream. There is a feeling that to everyone who loves to “play” (both with toys and with people), but enjoy natural sensations in the process – this is just the right thing.

The second, Natural Glide, is positioned as a lubricant designed specifically for dry skin and sensitive mucous membranes: the formula is based on pure vegetable glycerin, which protects and soothes dry skin. Feels like if I tested them with my eyes closed, I would not be able to tell the difference. They are identical to the touch and in terms of slipperiness. In terms of consistency, both are pleasantly gel-like (they do not evaporate, they are consumed sparingly). They smell like a blissful “nothing”. The taste (although they are not for oral sex, but all sorts of impromptu happen) are not disgusting, but slightly gagging).

Premium Glide and Soft Glide are classic silicone lubricants.

If you don't have toys made of silicone, take, of course, them: they slide amazingly, and the texture is like liquid silk. I strongly recommend this pair for anal sex. And for the manual too - the hands seem to fly over them! And the feeling against the background of silicone lubricants is a little more muted and softer than against the background of water ones. It can be beneficial if there is a task to stretch the fingering process a little so that the partner does not finish quickly.

Well, and still may not be suitable for those who are annoyed by dense oily textures. Compared to aquatic ones, which closely resemble natural lubrication at the stage of thorough arousal, they are, of course, heavier tactilely.

Premium Glide is marketed as a “lubricant for delicate and capricious” – for highly sensitive genital mucous membranes. This lubricant has undergone dermatological tests in people with neurodermatitis (without eczema) in a clinical setting and is rated very good. In Soft Glide there is jojoba oil which further moisturizes and soothes.

On blind testing, I would not have recognized which one either. Both are odorless, colorless, do not leave whitish marks on the skin, do not stick (compared to water, they slightly grease; the skin does not have clogs, but the feeling of a light film on the mucous membrane is still present).

Pro-Long is the least requested MED product with me, probably because I don't have a penis. And this is, in fact, a male prolonging serum. The principle of use is as follows: I applied it to the head, waited 15-20 seconds, then either put on a condom, or blotted the excess with a napkin (if this is not done, the second participant of the race will also feel the prolonging effect). Next, as it is absorbed, you can apply any pjur lubricant – they rhyme with each other perfectly. According to Mr. B, it does not cause any uncomfortable effects in the form of numbness, but the sensitivity slightly (by 20 percent) hides, which naturally affects the duration of the penetrative phase (arithmetically for the same approximately percentage of time).

Of course, this serum will not make your partner a die-hard sprinter capable of hour-long action. But as a delicate retarder it has a right to exist.

Previous lubricants came in a bottles of 100 ml (this is a lot and lasts for a long time), and this means a modest 20 ml. But the consumption is neat: you need 1-2 drops, and a bottle with a dispenser, so you can't put too much.
